This book was insightful. I don't know if guys would like it, but i enjoyed it. I related to Verna a lot. High school is confusing. You lose your friend, but make new ones, you don't know if you should trust god, or a religion. You start liking boys. You fight with your mother and rebel against your parents. You wonder why life isn't fair and get really confused at this point. High school stupidity is how i put it.

This book was ok, it was based on some real life story about a girl named La Vaughn. I just found out that their was another book before this called To Make Lemonade so I suggest reading the other book first. My only complainant's were the ending(Find out for your self) and it was a little childish to me even though it was fore my age group.

I cannot get enough of this series! It's so great. I can't wait to see some of the other series Jeanne DuPrau is going to come out with. Hopefully she does more. Have you heard of the movie yet? It comes out October 10th, and I can't wait to see the action/adventure come to life, especially with Bill Murray playing the villainous Mayor Cole! I'm also an official ambassador for City of Ember, and we have a few exclusive, first-look pictures that I think you'd really like.
Would love to share them with you and have you involved in spreading the word about City of Ember as much as possible!

I hope posting on your blog did not overstep any bounds.

Look forward to talking with you soon!

Best,
